水流細微如蝦蚓，足以讓人駐足流連，
浩大時則可如蛟鯨，奔騰而出全出自然。
本當使河川奔流，最終都應匯入大海，
可如今受阻停滯，卻也積聚成深淵。
百姓的憂患已不見堯帝咨嗟問詢之日，
大地的阻礙又如何能再靠大禹開鑿穿通？
可惜那潛臥的龍全無騰飛之意，
不隨雲霓而去，爲春田普降甘霖。

As slender as shrimps and worms, they linger and stay,
As vast as flood dragons and whales, they emerge in a natural way.
They should make the streams flow all the way to the sea,
Yet now, held back, they still form deep pools, as we see.
People's sorrows unseen, unlike in Yao's days of old,
How could the land's obstacles be pierced, as Yu's tale is told?
Alas, the sleeping dragon shows no will to arise,
Nor follows clouds to bring spring rain that fertile fields prize.
