城南的山巒正對著城樓巍然矗立。
溪邊田地雨水充足，稻禾最先成熟；
海邊樹木被勁風吹拂，葉子早早地染上秋意。
在疏傅的鄉里間，我尋訪著故老；
想起秦始皇的車駕甲兵，曾意圖東巡。
客居他鄉的心，本已感傷千里之遙；
欄杆外的風煙景色，全都化作了愁緒。

South of the city, mountains stand facing the tower straight.
The rain-soaked fields by the stream see rice ripen first;
The sea-side trees, in high winds, shed leaves as autumn nears.

Of Qin Shi Huang's chariots, I think of his eastward tours.
A traveler's heart grieves not just for a thousand miles;
Beyond the railings, all mist and wind are but sorrow.
