三年間嘗盡人情的冷暖與世態的炎涼。
清明的朝廷不允許人心敗壞。
應試的舉子們又怎能知曉天賜爵祿的尊榮?
所任用的人若真能踐行所學。
不知要到哪一天才能見到太平盛世。

Striving for novelty, they race against time, their daily schedules in perfect rhyme.
One exam sends them galloping across the land, a test for every scholar, grand.
Three years reveal the world's warmth and chill, the fickle human ties that thrill.
The enlightened court won't let men's hearts decay, upholding virtue in its sway.
How can these candidates truly know the honor that from Heaven's grace may flow?
If those employed are men of learning true, and governance aligns with what they knew,
I wonder when we'll see an age of peace, a time when all these struggles cease.
