我披上朝服，勉強起身去應和司晨的雞人。
燈火通明的皇城在夜色中昏暗，雲層遮蔽了宮闕；
皇帝的寶座在清晨透著寒意，白雪覆蓋了殿庭。
偶然相逢，我們都已生出了雙鬢白髮；
在這蕭條冷落的時節，難得兩人都還身居高位。
但我仍憐惜退朝後用膳時親朋俱在，
與他們一起吟詠唱和，從不厭倦這清貧的生活。

I don my robe and force myself up to join the morning's peace.

In bleak times, it's rare for both of us to hold positions bright.
