在青壯年時，結交豪傑，盛大的遊歷與追隨者衆多，
在宛城、洛陽一帶，處處都能遇到華美的氈車。
吟詠盡了萬物的風華，憂愁於筆力已老，
沉醉中春色消褪，卻更愛那醇厚的美酒。
酒壚邊寂寞冷清，如同生病的司馬相如，
打鐵處荒涼無人，好似慵懶的嵇康。
早晚要直上青雲，必須靠自己的努力達成，
站立間短暫交談，就能平步青雲取得徹侯的封爵。

And met their felt-canopied carts in Luoyang's throngs.
I've chanted all things fair, my brush now old with care;
