從早到晚，在寬敞的樓閣中斜倚而坐，
漸漸感覺到炎夏的氣息正在加劇。
紫竹簫管聚集，好似湘竹的筍尖，
赤霜袍色澤鮮麗，猶如海石榴花般絢爛。
超然物外，身心閒適無事，
紛擾人世中，智識終有邊際。
何必追問是享有五鼎之食還是瓢飲之貧，
暫且憑藉吟詠詩句來度過年華。

And feel the summer's fiery breath begin to shine.
Purple jade flutes cluster like Xiang bamboo shoots;

Amid the bustling crowd, wisdom finds its own snares.
Why ask of five tripods or a single gourd's fate?
