揚子江邊，融化的冰水潺潺流動；
長安的道路上，暖風輕輕吹拂。
雪後初晴，柳條如黃金瓔珞般閃耀；
春意將盡時，又如碧玉雕飾般青翠玲瓏。
確實，一般的園林都比不上它；
即便是尋常的臺榭，有了它便顯得適宜。
細想來，柳也是多情之物，
被人間用來寄託離別之情。

On the roads of Chang'an, warm breezes gently blow.
After the snow clears, golden tassels gleam at dawn;

Pondering, I find it a creature full of feeling,
Claimed by the world to mark the sorrow of parting.
