苦於暑熱，怨恨秋天來得太遲，
秋天到來，喚起了楚地之人的悲思。
滿江風雨，度過一個不眠之夜，
萬里關山，正是我獨自前往之時。
接到徵召文書時，不知這竟是遙遠的別離，
倚門而望的家人，想必已在計算我的歸期。
蘆花與楓葉，更增添了我的愁緒，
看得明朝，兩鬢又要添上幾縷銀絲。

Suffering summer's heat, I bitterly regret autumn's delay,
Autumn's arrival stirs the sorrow of a Chu man's dismay.
A river of wind and rain, a sleepless night I spend,
Ten thousand miles of mountain passes, alone I wend.

Leaning by the door, she must already be longing for my returning.
Reed flowers and maple leaves add to my pensive mood,
I see tomorrow's dawn will silver my hair, a solitude.
