朱門之內，羅綺競相閃耀，
未必儒官的職位就偏偏缺少歡樂。
隨著分管的音樂娛樂心性，
在閒適中吟詠度過寒暑。
隱士棲身遁世，心未必安適，
浮誇者經營謀劃，席間難得安寧。
一旦被名利牽掛，便都是曲從，
能拋棄此事，才是更爲困難。

It's not that scholars' posts must lack a joyful space.
With pipes and strings at hand, we follow our heart's will,
Composing verses, passing seasons, warm or chill.
The hermit's heart, in seclusion, finds no ease,

Once tangled in fame and gain, all are enslaved;
To cast these things aside is harder to be braved.
