您難道沒有見過孟嘗君在齊國掌權的時候嗎？
三千名豪傑之士都追隨在他的身邊。
他享有萬戶封邑的收入，卻不私自占有，
宰牛濾酒來款待賓客，從不吝惜錢財。
他的門下人來人往，熱鬧得如同集市一般，
就連雞鳴狗盜之徒也混雜其中，同處塵世。
可一旦他失勢，那些賓客便紛紛散去，
只剩下馮諼一人，向西進入秦國去爲他奔走。

Have you not seen Lord Mengchang, when in Qi he held sway,
Three thousand gallant men followed him night and day.
His fief of ten thousand households brought him no private gain,
He slaughtered oxen, strained fine wine, and did not count the cost in vain.
His gate was thronged like a marketplace, a bustling, noisy scene,
Even crowing cocks and thieving dogs were mingled in the mean.
But once his power waned, his followers all took their flight,
Only Feng Huan remained, heading west to Qin with all his might.
