白話文翻譯
煙雨籠罩著茂密的蘆葦叢，
白鷺在其中飛翔，哪裡容易找尋？
印在沙上的足跡本就淺淡，
依傍著水邊，意趣卻更爲幽深。
頭頂的絲羽難以被風吹斷，
飄飛的翎毛似未沉落的雪花。
終究應與鴛鴦這類高潔之鳥爲伴，
怎肯混雜於平凡的禽類之中。

Through misty rain, the reeds grow dense and deep,
How hard to find where egrets fly and sweep!
Their prints on sand are faint and lightly sown,
By waterside, their thoughts seem more their own.
Their crowns shake off the silk-threads, yet unbroken;
Their plumes float like unsunken snow, a token.
They're fit to pair with noble phoenixes,
And never mix with common birds' excesses.
