八月二十五日，既有賓客也有主人。
滾出雪峯的法球，
敲響禾山的法鼓。
天帝釋迦牟尼搖頭，
大梵天王起舞。
若不透徹上林關的玄機，
不敢輕易讚許。
須菩提不理解這種家風，
惹得岩前繁花如雨般飄落。

On the twenty-fifth of August, guests and host appear.
The snow peak's ball is rolled out, clear,
And beats the drum of He Shan Hill.
Lord Indra shakes his head in wonder here,
While great Brahma begins to dance with skill.
Until you pass the Shanglin Pass, you cannot know,
I dare not lightly my approval show.
Empty-born, he fails to grasp this family's way,
And stirs before the cliff a rain of flowers' spray.
