歸去多麼快樂，歸去多麼快樂。
山上的山花紅豔似火，
山下的村酒香氣淡薄。
折下花枝自己插戴又自斟自酌，
說什麼萬貫家財、揚州鶴（指富貴神仙生活）。
快樂啊，沒有比這次歸來更快樂的了。
飛禽知道，我知道，淵明（陶淵明）也知道。
除了我們三者之外，還有誰知道呢？
勸你閉上嘴巴，藏身高枝（隱居避世）吧。

Go home and be merry, go home and be merry.
On the hill, mountain flowers blaze red and airy;
Below the hill, rustic wine smells faint and dreary.
I pluck a flower to adorn my hair, and drink alone.
Talk of ten thousand strings of cash, or Yangzhou cranes—all blown.
No joy surpasses this return, I say.
The birds know it, and I know it, as would the wise recluse of yore.
Besides us three, who else could know this lore?
I urge you, seal your lips and hide on the lofty bough.
