古老的藤蔓彎曲盤繞好似龍蛇，
它飛上樹梢頭，故意地將視線遮擋。
煙靄般濃密的葉子真成了一頂翠綠的帳幕，
清風吹拂，卻吹不進權貴顯赫的五侯之家。
忽然看見落葉，方知秋天來得早，
偶然閒坐吟詩，不覺日頭已西斜。
恐怕有飛行的仙人從林梢經過，
呼喚童僕爲我整理好頭上的烏紗帽。

The ancient vine twists like a dragon or snake,
It climbs the treetop, deliberately blocking the way.
Its dense leaves form a true emerald canopy,
The clear breeze cannot reach the mansions of the noble.
Suddenly seeing fallen leaves, I know autumn comes early,
By chance I sit chanting poems till the sun slants west.
Fearing some flying immortal might pass the forest's edge,
I call my lad to straighten my black gauze cap for me.
