自從我來到這學宮，便關起門來，
斷絕了所有的交遊往來。
只有一兩個研習經書的學生，
像長庚星陪伴著殘月一般。
水邊的芹藻兀自青青地生長，
有誰與我一同去採摘呢？
只有在流水潑潑作響的地方，
才能見到源頭活水的生機。

A few classic scholars, not many more,
Like the Long Star that with the waning moon falls.
The water plants grow green on their own way;
Who will come with me now to pluck and glean?
