赤紅的太陽與朝霞爭鬥著曉光，
鋪著雙紋桃竹蓆的碧色象牙牀。
頻頻傾倒蜜勺，怎能消除口渴，
久久捧著冰壺，也未覺得涼爽。
看到雪嶺，卻想追隨博望侯張騫而去，
對著風窗，仍欲傲視太古的羲皇。
更憐惜那雛燕翻飛的地方，
它們深深飛入了盧家華麗的白玉堂。

The blazing sun vies with dawn clouds in radiant light,
On the peach-patterned mat, the green-ivory bed.
I often tilt the honey ladle, yet thirst remains unquenched,
Long holding the ice pot, I feel no coolness spread.
The snowy peaks make me think of following Zhang Qian,
By the breezy window, I still wish to rival Fu Xi's ease.
I pity even more the fledgling swallows in their flight,
As they dive deep into the Lu family's hall of white jade, please.
