碧綠的樹木投下濃蔭，連接著玉砌的台階，
多年來飛舞相伴，卻伴隨著長久的離別。
高天與深淵之間，風雨交加，秋意已濃，
遼海之上煙波浩渺，往日的約定已然落空。
它曾自許一聲鳴叫能上達遙遠的霄漢，
是否還能繞著空枝盤旋三匝，形隻影單？
它從來何曾顧念過那腐鼠的滋味，
不像那鵷雛，被無端地猜疑，枉費心機。

For years it danced in flight, companion to the long parting's woe.
Between sky and abyss, wind and rain hint autumn's breath,
On Liaohai's misty waves, the old rendezvous meets its death.

Could it circle the empty branch thrice, under the vast sky?
Since when did it ever glance at a rotten rat's fare?
