為何這滔天巨浪要苦苦施展它的淫威，
瘋狂地驅趕著海神，讓河伯也狼狽逃奔。
只因看到平靜的地面突然波濤翻湧而起，
才知道這正是滄海鼎沸的動盪之時。
初時彷彿長平之戰中萬片屋瓦震響，
忽然又像圓嶠仙山被六隻巨鰲馱移。
真應該等到它變得澄清如白練一般，
自會有平靜的河流去完成濟世的使命。

Why does the sea, in its fury, wield such awesome might,
Driving the sea god mad, making the river god take flight?
I see the waves surge up from the level ground afar,
And know it is the time when the boiling cauldrons are.
At first, like ten thousand tiles shaken at Changping's fall,
Then, as if six giant turtles moved the isle round and all.
Only when it turns clear and smooth as a silken thread,
Will the tranquil stream flow on, its destined course ahead.
