親臨殿前策問，匯聚了當代的英傑。
龍鱗般的日光環繞，天顏近在咫尺；
螭首碑座隨雲移動，帝座高聳入雲。
奏疏草稿披上丹砂，陳列在紫禁城中；
宮花賞賜光彩，映照著藍色的官袍。
自慚如腐朽的草芥，卻蒙受榮耀的際遇；
報答之恩，怎能忘記聖上言語的褒獎？

At the palace hall, he questions the finest of the age.
Dragon scales shimmer near the celestial visage;
The chimera-carved throne shifts high amid clouds.
Memorials, marked in vermilion, are laid before the Forbidden City;
Palace flowers bestow splendor upon the blue robes.
I shame myself, a withered weed, honored by such grace;
How could I forget the sovereign's praise in my repayment?
