蘭膏點亮的蠟燭光艷正煎熬將殘。
夜風時常響起，發出自然的聲響；
拂曉的月亮漸漸虧缺，如弦般彎。
喜鵲飛離，星辰低垂接近天河；
烏鴉啼叫，樹木在暮煙中晦暗。
想來只有牆外的柳樹，
三次起身又三次臥眠。

The orchid-oil candle's flame flickers, bright yet slow.
Night winds often stir, whispering through the trees;
The dawn moon wanes, its bow-shaped arc decreas.

Only the willow outside the wall, I deem,
