我停下酒杯，邀請明月來這華美的廳堂共宴，
深深怨恨那高山阻礙了我狂放的興致。
海角山崖怎能藏得住她皎潔的容顏？
雲間道路終將鋪滿她清寒的光輝。
片刻後簾幕捲起，映出銀蟾的身影；
依次斟滿的酒杯浮動著桂子的香氣。
正好適合吹簫，偏偏沒有月亮，
嫦娥應該看到了我的悽惶不安。

I set down my cup, inviting the moon to feast in this splendid hall,
Bitterly regretting the high mountains that thwart my soaring delight.
How could the sea's edge hide her pristine orb?
Through the cloudy paths, her cold light will surely spread.

In turn, the wine cups float with the fragrance of cassia seeds.
Just when it's perfect for flute-playing, yet there is no moon—
