莫要嘲笑詩翁懶得出門，
詩翁的樂事就在這山村之中。
黃鶯在楊柳間啼鳴，如金色的歌舞，
蝴蝶宿於梨花上，仿佛做著雪一般的夢。
斑斕的丹青畫卷分出了拂曉的天色，
壓榨的美酒使溪水漲起了痕跡。
在燕簾拂動的風裡、茶煙裊裊之外，
他自己挑選唐詩來教導子孫。

Laugh not at this old poet who seldom leaves his gate;
This old poet finds his joy within the mountain village.
Orioles sing in willows, golden dances they create;
Butterflies lodge in pear blossoms, snow-dreams in their cottage.
Dawn's hues divide the painted scroll in colors bright;
The brewing wine o'erflows, staining the creek's trace.
Beyond the tea-smoke, in the breeze where swallows take flight,
He chooses Tang poems himself, to teach his heirs with grace.
