陽春三月登上玉色的浪濤，
一日之間便到達了天池。
垂釣者豈容羨慕它的際遇？
小魚兒也不應跟隨其後。
它腹中沒有藏匿匕首，
已不能再幫助那位吳國兒郎。

The Luoshui's red carp is fair to see,
It swims into the Yellow River, westward free.
In spring it climbs the jade-like waves with might,
And reaches the celestial pool in one daylight.
No angler should envy its fate so grand,
Small fish would better not follow its band.
Its belly holds no dagger sharp and keen,
It cannot help the Wu prince, as once had been.
