夜深了，方才感到四周一片寂靜；
空蕩的廳堂里，燈燭明亮地照耀著。
落葉偶爾發出短暫的聲響；
暗處的蟲子鳴叫不停，沒有止息。
努力求學並非爲了自己；
甘於貧困，尚且追求名聲。
姑且寫下這首詠懷的詩篇，
不禁又想起了步兵校尉阮籍。

Hidden insects never cease their ceaseless drone.
I strive in learning, not for my own sake;
