干戈之事引發了戰爭。
千重漢軍的包圍已然合攏，
一夜之間四面響起楚地的歌聲。
淒涼地經歷了七十場戰鬥，
八千士卒潰散奔逃。
迷失道路，欺騙了田間老農問路，
窮途末路之時遭遇了漢將灌嬰。
天命已亡卻始終不能醒悟，
閱覽這段古事，也令人感傷動情。

With spear and shield, the battle was afoot.
A thousand rings of Han troops closed the net,
One night, the Chu songs filled the air with fret.
Seventy grim battles, bleak and dire,
Eight thousand soldiers scattered, lost in mire.
Misled, he tricked the farmer on the way,
At road's end, met by Guan Ying in dismay.
Heaven's doom he never understood;
Reading of ancient grief, my heart is subdued.
