惶惶不安、孤獨無依，也足以令人悲傷，
暴君夏桀死去，聖君唐堯出生，終究都歸於寂滅。
徒然羨慕那用翠釜烹煮的駝峯美味，
空自思念那拌著金色齏醬的鱸魚膾。
看那榮華富貴代謝更迭，終成荊棘荒蕪；
望那古今歲月推移變遷，唯有山澗溪流長存。
從造物主隱祕的推移變化中，我領悟了這個道理：
高歌長吟，拾取田間的遺穗，一切聽任自然的天性。

Restless and solitary, how pitiful it is,
Whether a Jie dies or a Yao lives, in the end they are the same.
In vain I envy the camel hump cooked in a jade-green cauldron,
Idly I long for perch slices mixed with golden sauce.
Glory and splendor fade, replaced by thorns and brambles;
Past and present shift, I gaze at the mountain stream.
In the Creator's secret transformations I find this truth:
Singing a long song, gleaning ears of grain, I follow Nature's course.
