我深深明白造物主的用意，
是要遂了我這顆心的最初願望。
在東邊的山塢閒看竹林，
到西面的溪邊獨自垂釣。
傍晚歸來仍然不覺得疲倦，
手拿著書卷，在庭前的台階上繞行。

My foot ailment only hinders me from making bows,
Yet climbing heights and touring scenes, I still arouse.
Well I know the Creator's intent profound,
To let my heart's initial wishes be unbound.
At the east cottage, I idly watch the bamboo grove,
By the west stream, alone, I fish with patience and love.
Returning at dusk, I feel no trace of weariness,
Holding a scroll, I pace the steps before my terrace.
