昨夜雨水繁多，溪水變得渾濁，
但這不妨礙我喚來渡船前往西村。
出門遊歷才感覺到這身體如此康健，
沒有食物充飢更讓我明白所持道義的尊貴。
隨身藥箱裡的藥材可賒來山店的美酒，
手中的竹杖不時敲打著野外僧人的門扉。
歸來時已是茅屋簷下燈火點亮的夜晚，
姑且再次縱情高歌，敲擊著瓦盆陶盎當作節拍。

Yet it won't stop me calling a ferry to West Village.
Setting out, I feel the vigor of this frame anew,
Fasting, I know more deeply the honor of my way.
I can barter herbs for wine at the mountain inn,
My bamboo staff at times knocks on a wild monk's gate.
Returning beneath the thatch eaves by lamplight,
Once more I sing wildly and drum on pots and bowls.
