老夫病癒後起身，每日裡身體衰弱，行動不便；
心中牽掛的幽靜閒事，只有自己知曉。
春社日臨近，鄰家老翁送來新釀的酒；
客人散去後，小童拾起殘局上的棋子。
功名利祿已交付給來生再去追求；
舞文弄墨尤其不適合晚年的時候。
殘留的習氣可憐未能完全除盡，
移栽花木、引逗流水，伴著孩童嬉戲。

Only he knows the quiet cares that on his heart weigh.
The neighbor brings new brew as village rites draw near;
The boy picks up the scattered chess when guests disappear.
Fame and rank I've consigned to a life yet to be;
Brush and ink are no longer fit for one old like me.
Yet old habits, poor things, are not wholly erased—
I move flowers, guide water streams, with my child amused.
