回憶往昔我輕裝簡行，踏上萬裡征途，
無論是水路驛站還是山路驛站，都不計算路程。
多次經過漢帝焚燒後殘留的棧道，
也曾寄宿在唐朝邊塞的雪域孤城。
昔日的雄心壯志，可憐已化作昨夜的幻夢，
在這殘存的歲月裡，唯有從事春耕這一件事。
西窗外忽然聽到空寂臺階上的雨聲，
獨自對著青燈，心緒依然難以平靜。

I recall the days when I traveled light for miles and miles,
By water post or mountain relay, never counting the miles.
I passed the plank roads scorched by the Han emperor's fires,
And lodged in frontier towns beyond the Tang's snowy spires.
Alas, my lofty dreams have faded like yesterday's haze,
In my declining years, only spring ploughing fills my days.
Suddenly, rain on empty steps outside the west window sounds,
Alone before the dim lamp, my restless heart still astounds.
