詩歌只求適意抒懷，何必追求精妙工巧；
喝醉了便倒頭就睡，無暇放縱輕狂。
細雨之中，我扛著鋤頭去分揀藥材；
天氣初涼時，我拄著手杖去看戲臺上的表演。
我此生已決心終老作一個農夫；
卻慚愧當世的賢達們唯獨還未將我遺忘。

Long favored by the court, I now return to my homeland;
My family's food and clothing come from tilling mulberry fields.
My poems, if they suit my mood, need not be finely wrought;
Drunk, I fall asleep at once, with no time for wild folly.
In light rain, hoe in hand, I sort medicinal herbs;
When chill first comes, leaning on my staff, I watch the players' stage.
This life of mine is fated to end as a farmer's;
Yet I feel ashamed that worthies of the age still remember me.
