素白的衣衫終於免於沾染京城的塵囂，
在江邊微微一笑，整理好頭上的幅巾。
湧入港汊的綠潮深深漫過岸堤，
高聳入雲的白塔在遠方招引著行人。
功名利祿姑且交付給未來的劫數吧，
詩與酒怎能辜負我當下的此身？
我將要去桐江畔謀劃修築一所小屋，
從此以舟爲家，在水上來往頻頻。

By the river, with a smile, I straighten my scarf fast.
Green tides, dipping deep ashore, enter the creek's embrace.
The cloud-piercing white pagoda beckons from distant space.
Fame and rank I leave to future kalpas, let them be.
Why estrange poetry and wine from the present me?
I shall seek a little lodge by the Tong River's side,
And float my home thereon, coming and going with the tide.
