不肯在桂樹邊爬沙而行，
千百年來張著口朝向山岩前方。
這是巴東峽谷里最初的峽谷，
也是天下泉水中的第四名泉。
啃雪飲冰，令人懷疑換了仙骨，
捧起珠玉般的泉水嬉玩，可以忘卻年華流逝。
清雅的游賞，我自笑何曾滿足過？
咚咚的疊鼓聲又響起，再次解纜開船。

Unwilling to crawl by the cassia tree's side,
For ages, with mouth agape, toward the cliff you abide.
The first gorge within the Badong Gorges' array,
The fourth spring under heaven's springs, they say.
Gnawing snow, drinking ice, as if bones transformed anew,
Cupping pearls, fondling jade, makes one forget years that flew.
I laugh at myself: when has such pure wandering sufficed?
As layered drums boom, and again we untie the ship, enticed.
