水鄉澤國風雨頻繁，
春天已盡人們還穿著皮襖粗衣。
閉門在家不能外出，
飽受斑鳩雌鳥聒噪的煩擾。
今晨烏雲忽然散去，
溝渠水流清澈而活潑地流淌。
我偶然到東園散步，
魚兒飛鳥多麼自在閒適。
婦女們的養蠶農事已經結束，
桑樹和柘樹葉光潤如潑水般鮮亮。
布穀鳥啊你無需擔憂，
我的棉褲確實可以脫下了。

The southern land is drenched in frequent rain and gale,
Though spring has passed, in furs and coarse robes we're clad.
Shut indoors, I cannot venture beyond the pale,
Enduring the turtledove's endless chatter, sad.
Today the clouds disperse, the sky is clear and bright,
The ditch water flows, so lucid and alive.
I stroll to the east garden, taking delight,
Where fish and birds enjoy their freedom, they thrive.
The women's silkworm tasks have finally come to end,
Mulberry and paper-mulberry trees gleam, freshly wet.
Cuckoo, you need not worry, my friend,
For I can truly shed my winter garment yet.
