高宗皇帝中興，萬物如沐春風；
我曾身著青衫，忝列於朝廷官員之中。
官至將相，卻也只是尋常之事；
年壽能到八九十歲的人，又能有幾個呢？
早年有幸手持兵器，目睹北伐；
晚年又蒙恩執筆，記錄東巡。
何況歸鄉耕種之地，離蒼梧山如此之近；
只見草木鬱鬱蔥蔥，一派祥瑞清新的氣象。

In blue robes, I once stood among the court's ministers.
To serve as general or chancellor was but common fate;
How many reach the age of eighty or ninety years?
Early, I was blessed to bear arms and witness the Northern Expedition;
Late, I was honored to wield the brush, recording the Eastern Tour.
To return to plowing is better still, with Cangwu so near—
Lush and luxuriant, the auspicious air feels fresh and new.
