蒲柳如同懦夫，一望見秋天就已凋零枯黃。
菊花卻像志士，即使過了時節仍留有餘香。
我眷戀地在東籬之下，
欣賞著幾株菊花戲弄著秋光。
它們鮮明燦爛，浸潤著夜晚的露水；
它們俊美挺拔，傲視著清晨的寒霜。
高雅之人寄託幽深的情思，
採摘它們來漂浮在酒杯之上。
投合的緣分真是經久耐用，
待到歲末，我將它們收歸枕囊。

The willow, frail as a coward, turns sere at autumn's sight.
The chrysanthemum, staunch as a man of will, keeps fragrance past its prime.
Beneath the eastern fence, I linger with delight,
Where several blooms still sport with autumn's light.
Glistening, they're moistened by the evening dew;
Splendid, they proudly face the morning frost.
A recluse, to convey his hidden thoughts so true,
Plucks them to float upon his wine, no pleasure lost.
True friendship, tested, stands the test of time,
And in late years, they'll grace my pillow's rest sublime.
