今年我的短髮已白如雪，布滿了頭巾；
姑且暢飲一杯，醉倒在酒甕中貯藏的春意里。
定然沒有方法求得長生不老的仙藥；
又怎能將愁緒耗費在有限的生命之軀？
打碎枕頭，不再追求名利的美夢；
要引來河水，徹底洗淨公文簿冊上的塵灰。
我決意歸隱江湖的心意，您可知道？
至於輔佐君王成就唐堯虞舜般的盛世，自然會有別的人才。

My hair this year is white as snow, a frosty cap upon my head;
A cup of wine, let's get drunk on the spring stored in the jar instead.
Surely there is no way to obtain the elixir of eternal life;
How then can I afford to waste my limited days on worry and strife?
I shatter my pillow, seeking no dreams of fame or gain;
I'd divert a river to wash away the dust of official documents, a cleansing rain.
Do you know my resolve to retreat to rivers and lakes is firm and true?
To assist the sovereign to a golden age, there will be others, not just a few.
