朝廷奏請減免了百姓大半的租稅。
水鄉雨水充足，稻米堆積雜亂，
卻也放出三分恩惠，以撫慰民心。
看著告示歸來，人們輪番歌舞，
共同歡喜這清平世道與好官府。
老翁依然記得當年戰事興起之時，
你們這些年輕人哪裡能夠知曉。

The court has waived more than half the people's rent in vain.
The riverside village, soaked with rain, has rice piled high,
Yet still they grant a thirty-percent cut, a soothing sigh.
Returning from the posted list, they dance and sing with cheer,
All praise the just and peaceful rule of officials here.
The old man still recalls the times when troops were on the march,
How could you youngsters ever know that hardship harsh?
