背著幼子，我流落到淮河、潁水一帶作客，
正值青春年少，卻遭逢了戰亂與流離。
中原大地就這樣被阻隔分離，
每次向北眺望，心中總是充滿悲傷。
泛舟渭水時，我曾題寫新的詩賦，
遊覽嵩山時，又續寫了舊日的詩篇。
雖然生死將我們分隔在不同的時代，
但這份心意與志向，絕不應當改變。

With child on back, a stranger to the Huai and Ying,
In youth's first down, I met the chaos of the age.
The heartland thus was torn, a severed, mournful thing,
Each northward gaze would stir a sorrow hard to assuage.
On Wei's broad stream I wrote new verses, drifting free,
And roamed Mount Song to add to poems of the past.
Though life and death divide us through eternity,
This steadfast heart of mine shall hold its purpose fast.
