茅屋坐落在菱角池塘的北邊，
柴門朝向那草藥園圃的西面。
奇異的雲彩飄得很低，彷彿離人很近，
淡淡的月亮傍著屋簷，顯得格外低垂。
原野空曠，牛羊正從山坡上下來，
樹林昏暗，鳥雀紛紛歸巢棲息。
郊野村落少有往來的行人，
只有父子二人相互攙扶著行走。

North of the thatched hut, by the water chestnut pond,
West of the wooden gate, lies the herb garden ground.
Fantastic clouds drift close, as if to touch the land,
A pale moon hangs low, by the eaves it seems to stand.
On the vast wilds, sheep and cattle descend the slope,
In the dim woods, birds and sparrows find their hope.
Few comings and goings in these outskirts so bare,
Father and son support each other with care.
