白石和青莎之間，一條小徑斜斜延伸，
斷絕了人跡，通往這山中的居所。
梁間歸來的燕子躲避著微雨，
池面遊動的魚兒爭搶著飄落的花瓣。
雪白的鬢髮只是增添了新的感慨，
金鞭哪裡還能找回舊日的豪奢生活。
在明亮的窗下睡醒，全然無事可做，
便點燃竹籠火、鼓動風爐，自己試煮新茶。

No trace of man leads to this mountain home, remote and gray.
Swallows, returning to the beams, dodge the drizzling rain;
Fish, swimming in the pond, vie for the falling blooms in vain.
My hair, snow-white, adds only to new sighs and deep regret;
My golden whip no more recalls the old splendor, vainly set.
Awake by the bright window, I find myself with naught to do;
I try new tea by the brazier fire, the breeze blowing through.
