我病臥在江邊的村莊，不厭煩此地的幽深；
但貂皮大衣也無奈清晨寒氣的侵凌。
我並非賢人，哪裡會害怕蛇年的到來？
只是在這多難的時節，卻憂愁人日這天的陰霾。
嫋嫋的孤雲從青翠的崖壁間生出；
霏霏的急雪灑落在青青的樹林。
吃完一盂飯後，再沒有別的事情可做，
便坐著看那凍僵的禽鳥飛下生臺。

Yet my sable coat can't ward off the morning chill's intrusion.
Not being a sage, why should I fear the coming Year of the Snake?
But in these troubled times, I grieve over the Human Day so bleak.
A wisp of lonely cloud rises from the emerald cliffside;
Driving snowflakes swiftly fall, sprinkling the green woods far and wide.
Having finished my bowl of rice, with nothing else to attend,
I sit and watch the frozen birds descend to the terrace end.
