烈日炎熱的天氣幾乎讓人難以忍受，
欣喜地發現秋色已來到了園林之中。
雲影遮蔽日光，初顯蕭瑟的景象，
露水的寒氣侵入簾內，已變得深重峭厲。
我稀疏的頭髮凋零脫落，如同乾枯的落葉，
悽苦的吟誦聲斷續夾雜著稀疏的搗衣砧聲。
大雁南飛，卻沒有帶來中原故土的消息，
撫摸著寶劍，有誰能理解我這份壯烈的心志？

I rejoice to find autumn's hues reaching the garden fair.
Clouds shade the sun, a first hint of desolation's air,
Dew's chill breath seeps through blinds, a deepening crispness there.
My thinning hair falls like withered leaves, scattered and sere,
My bitter chants, broken by sparse pounding, sound sad and drear.
Wild geese come, yet bring no word from the heartland I hold dear,
Who, seeing me stroke my sword, knows this heroic zeal sincere?
