我一生都與世俗格格不入，如同馬和牛感受不同的風；
雖然落魄在人間，卻也未曾窮困到極點。
彈完綠綺琴，香爐的煙縷呈現出深碧色；
在烏絲欄上寫完字，燭花正紅豔地閃爍。
夢中，吳地和蜀地的山川彷彿近在眼前；
醉後，周朝與秦朝的征戰殺伐都成空幻。
不要嘲笑我年老卻依然漂泊無定；
這總比做困在池塘或籠中的魚鳥要好。

All my life, I've been at odds with the vulgar world, like horses and oxen in different winds;
Though down and out among men, I've never reached the end of my means.
When the emerald lute's song ends, the incense smoke turns a deep green;
After finishing writing on black silk, the candle's flame glows red.
In dreams, the mountains and rivers of Wu and Shu feel near;
Drunk, the wars of Zhou and Qin seem empty and disappear.
Don't laugh at me, old and adrift, casting myself away;
It's still better than fish and birds trapped in a pond or cage.
