烏雲昏暗，遮蔽了南邊的山巒，
雷聲滾過，震動著北面的門戶。
上天大概是哀憐這些百姓的苦難，
於是賜予了三日的雨水連綿。
且不說高地窪地是否都已灌足，
十成之中已得到了四五成的好處。
雨勢還遠遠沒有要停住，
喜悅的神色遍佈在農家的園圃。
我拱手叩拜龍王祈求，
但願所言預示著最終會有豐收的秋日。
百姓飢餓，我不敢推辭責任不顧，
只怕會給賢明的君主留下憂慮。

Clouds darken, the southern hills are lost from sight,
Thunder passes, shaking the northern door with might.
Heaven must pity these people in their plight,
And grants them three days of rain, day and night.
Not to mention if high and low fields are fully fed,
Already four or five tenths have been watered.
The rain's force is far from being done and shed,
Joyful hues spread over every garden and farmstead.
I bow my head and pray to the Dragon Lord,
Hoping the words foretell a harvest to be stored.
The people's hunger I dare not disregard,
Lest it bring our wise ruler a grave concern to hoard.
