它本就不是價值百金的財產，
哪裡需要用三品的精飼料餵養？
馬兒早已忘卻了華美的馬廄，
士人也安於蓬草藋莖搭成的陋室。
兩個窮困者恰好相遇，
將世間萬事都付與淡然一笑。
馬少游駕馭著遲緩的駑馬，他的打算真是巧妙，
沒有什麼計策能比這更精妙了。
可憐那杜陵翁杜甫，
還妄想追求能追風的駿馬。

Chewing dry stalks through wind and rain.
Never a property worth a hundred gold,
Why feed it with top-grade forage fine?

Young You rode a slow nag, his plan was wise,
