湖上的居民以划船為生，
家家戶戶都把船當作謀生的行業。
少女們妝扮的面容像花樣鮮紅，
小小的傘兒翻動，攪亂了荷葉叢叢。
日暮歸來時月色清新明亮，
採菱的歌聲縹緲，盪漾在煙霧籠罩的水濱上。
回到家又邀約西邊的鄰家姑娘，
明日一同去湖橋觀看迎神賽會的熱鬧景象。

Each household takes the boat as their trade and store.
The maidens' rouged faces bloom like flowers bright,
