不要笑山翁白髮繁密如雪，
有幸退休歸來，全因皇恩寬厚。
鱟殼做的酒杯剛好裝下三升酒，
龜殼般的小屋新做了二寸高的帽子。
在僧閣一起煮茶，聊著閒淡的話，
在漁舟投下釣鉤，占卜清靜的歡愉。
回家想給孫兒們準備些禮物，
村路邊累累的柿子還未變紅。

Don't laugh at the mountain elder's hair like snow,
Retired, I'm blessed by imperial grace to go.
A horseshoe-cup just holds three pints of brew,
A turtle-shell hut, a new two-inch cap I sew.
In the monk's tower, we boil tea with plain talk,
On a fishing boat, casting a line foretells joy without balk.
Returning home, I wish to give gifts to my grandsons all,
Along the village path, persimmons hang, not yet red in the fall.
