不要嘲笑山野老翁衰老得快要僵硬，
壯年時他曾趕上侍奉高宗皇帝。
手持雕戈向北出征，戍守遙遠的邊塞；
如今東歸，面對華表，為故鄉而悲傷。
世間萬事本來就難以輕易揣度，
人生百年仍有未曾經歷的事情。
紛紛擾擾的誹謗與讚譽何必去問，
只覺得人生就像邯鄲一夢那樣漫長。

In his prime, he served the great emperor, a glorious tale.
With carved spears northward, he guarded the frontier's end;
Returning east, by stone pillars, he mourned his homeland, a friend.
All things in life are hard to measure with ease;
A hundred years still hold experiences one never sees.
Why bother with the clamor of blame or praise?
I only feel Handan's dream long, through the passing days.
