伏在馬槽邊，我早知已免遭驚險的機巧；
剪去了翎毛，豈會再羨慕羣鳥高飛。
座中賓客雖滿，知心者卻稀少；
囊中詩篇雖多，稱心之作也稀微。
小雨過後，我去小市尋找酒家；
日落時分，我騎著驢子從野橋歸來。
不辭辛勞，行走十里空翠的山路；
終究勝過京城塵土，沾染客子的衣衫。

Clipped wings no longer yearn to join the flock in flight.
Among the guests, few are the ones who share my dreams;
In my bag, poems abound, but few bring true delight.
After the rain, I seek wine in the small market's gleam;

I do not mind the ten li through the emerald dream;
Better than dust in capital staining a traveler's garb.
